RIDBA FAB Awards – finalists

Joseph Ash Galvanizing is pleased to announce that RIDBA has revealed its shortlist of finalists for the 2015 RIDBA FAB Awards.

RIDBA (the Rural and Industrial Design and Building Association) is hosting its second FAB awards on Friday 24 April and it looks set to be a great evening, especially for the representatives of the shortlisted buildings that have made it to the finals list.

In a press release published by RIDBA, the shortlisted buildings are as follows:

  • A new clubhouse for Lampeter Rugby Club in Ceredigion, by Shufflebottom
  • A refurbished 17th Century barn for CJH Farming at Boyton Hall, Boyton Cross, near Chelmsford, Essex, by AC Bacon Engineering
  • A new office/training/technology centre for Agrii at Throws Farm, Stebbing, Essex, by AC Bacon Engineering
  • A new play barn at Pink Pig Farm, Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, by Shufflebottom
  • A new livestock/office building for Hampton Hewitt at Markethill sales yard, Markethill, Co Armagh, Northern Ireland, by Lappin Engineering
  • A new multi-purpose livestock building (stabling, hay storage and beef cattle) for the Suffolk Hay Company at Manor Farm, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk, by AC Bacon Engineering
  • A new dairy complex for Bristol University’s School of Clinical Veterinary Science at Wyndhurst Farm, Langford, Somerset, by Roger Stewart Associates
  • A new fire station for Andrew Scott Ltd at Horwaun, Rhondda Cynon Taff, by Shufflebottom
  • A new sales/service building for The Doubleday Group at Swineshead, Lincolnshire, by AC Bacon Engineering
  • A new building for Labman Automation at Seamer Hill, Seamer, North Yorkshire, by Yorkshire Steel Buildings
  • A new curved-roof barn at Marlbrook Farm, Newnham Bridge, Worcestershire, by Robinson Structures. 

A total of 11 buildings are now in the running for 12 awards, as well as a first, second and third overall winner.

The awards will be made at a gala dinner which will be held at the Royal York Hotel in York. TV’s Countryfile presenter, Tom Heap, will present the awards, Suzannah Nichol MBE, Chief Executive of the NSCC (National Specialist Contractors Council) will also be in attendance.
