RIDBA FAB Awards winners 2015 announced!

The RIDBA FAB Awards presentation dinner took place last night in York at the Royal York Hotel. It was a great night and we were proud to sponsor the event.

The winners of the Awards were announced and we are pleased to list them here:

First Place overall

• Hirwaun Fire Station (Shufflebottom Limited)

Second Place overall

• Labman Automation (Yorkshire Steel Buildings)

Third Place overall

• CJH Farming (A C Bacon)

The building types winners were as follows:

• Building type: Diversification. A refurbished 17th Century barn for CJH Farming. (A C Bacon)
• Building type: Farm Buildings over 250 m^2. Bristol University – a new dairy complex for Bristol University’s School of Clinical Veterinary Science.(Roger Stewart Associates)
• Building type: Non-Agricultural Farm Building. A new office/training/technology centre at Throws Farm. (A C Bacon)
• Building type: Light Industrial Building. Hirwaun Fire Station – a new fire station for Andrew Scott Ltd at Hirwaun. (Shufflebottom Limited)
• Building type: Unusual Building. A new play barn at Pink Pig Farm. (Shufflebottom Limited)

The category winners were as follows:

• Category: Aesthetics. A new building for Labman Automation. (Yorkshire Steel Buildings)
• Category: Functionality. Hirwaun Fire Station. (Shufflebottom Limited)
• Category: Sustainability. A new sales/service building for The Double Day Group. (A C Bacon)

The following buildings were also commended:

• A new multi-purpose livestock building (stabling, hay storage and beef cattle) for the Suffolk Hay Company (A C Bacon)
• A new clubhouse for Lampeter Rugby Club (Shufflebottom Limited)
• A new livestock/office building for Hampton Hewitt at Markethill sales yard (Lappin Engineering)
• A new curved-roof barn at Marlbrook Farm (Robinsons Structures)
